Having Fun with Popcorn

Popcorn Shares the Weekend with Ryan!

I was so excited when I found out I would get to bring Popcorn home with me! He is a good monkey and was up for anything!

On Saturday morning I usually make my Dad a cup of coffee but this time Popcorn helped me do it. He had a hard time sitting up on the counter because I think he was still tired! Maybe HE needed to drink a cup too!

That afternoon, we drove to Albi, which is my favorite city in all of France (except for Paris) and only one hour away. In Albi, we went to our very favorite chocolate store and bought some candies and chocolates. The ones I like the most are caramel chocolates. YUM! Popcorn didn't want to leave because the store smells so good, like chocolate air!

After that, we went to visit the huge cathedral there. It is very beautiful and the music inside is also beautiful. I lit a candle and said a prayer. After that we went outside and I just knew that Popcorn wanted to see over the top. Can you see Popcorn hanging over the ledge? I was holding on very tightly to him!

Popcorn and I stood next to the square where the water shoots up high into the sky! We almost got wet, but I jumped out of the way just in time!

We had dinner in Albi and then drove home when it was dark.  It was a very fun day and we were pretty tired. I didn't even know it but Popcorn,  Jesse and I fell asleep on the way home!

There was something that I had promised Popcorn we'd do together. We watched a movie together and my Mom made us a big bowl of popcorn!  So Popcorn was able to eat popcorn!!!! He also wanted three straws for his drink.

Popcorn is a very good friend and I was happy to have him visit us.

  6. It sounds like you had a great weekend with Popcorn, Ryan. Do you remember looking after Monty for the weekend in Y2? He hasn't started going home with my new Y2s yet! Perhaps he'll start after the holidays.

  19. What a creative blog posting, Ryan! You used words and pictures to "paint" your experience with Popcorn in a very interesting way. The colors match the season...and I love the idea of "chocolate air"--yum!!! What fun you (and Popcorn) had! Love, Grandma Adelle
